Exciting Ideas for Your Mom’s Night In

While it’s undeniably fun to go out and enjoy a movie date with your friends, there are also times when you just feel like staying home and binge-watch Netflix shows. It may be because you’re just tired or you’re fed up with the same old routine. No matter what your reason is, you don’t have to feel bad about it. You can just have a mom’s night in instead.

In a previous article, we’ve shared the ideas of Fun Things to Do on Mom’s Night Out. Now, here are some exciting ideas for your mom’s night in:

Dig out photo albums and take a trip down memory lane

Whether it’s photos of your awkward teenage years or your memorable senior year in college, it’s always fun to look at old photographs of yourself, especially if you’re sharing them with your friends. I bet it will leave you feeling surprised at how much you have changed since then.

Take this time to remember the past and how crazy you were back in those days. Share stories while you flip from one photo to another.

Try some interesting recipes on Pinterest

There are a lot of interesting things that you can find on Pinterest. From breakfast to dinner and everything in between, I’m pretty sure that you will find something out of the ordinary that will spark your interest.

Perhaps you can try making some lettuce wraps or those summer cocktails. Pinterest offers a wide selection of recipes that you and your friends can try making at home.

Have your very own spa night

Do you see those bags under your eyes? Well, they are a solid reminder of how poorly you treat yourself. It’s high time that you pamper yourself. Invite your friends over for a night of pampering. You can take turns giving manicures, pedicures, and facials.

If you don’t feel like getting a facial and a mani-pedi, then you can just relax with sliced cucumbers over your eyes as you listen to calming music. Bubble baths, nail painting, and face masks are also great ideas.

Channel your inner artist through craftsmanship

Another great way to spend your “mom’s night in” is to do something crafty. You can make some decorations for your home or maybe a homemade gift for your friends. Channel your inner artist by making use of the resources you have at home.

Turn your mom’s night in into a game night

Take out all of your board games and be prepared to reminisce your childhood days as you play all the games that you played when you were young.

To make it more interesting, you can record your scores. When you’re finished playing, the person who has the highest score gets to receive a reward.

Watch scary movies together

Who says that all moms prefer corny rom-com films? Some of us enjoy watching hair-raising, blood-curdling, spine-chilling horror movies once in a while.

If you’re feeling bored and want to make it more interesting, you can huddle together on the sofa and try to see who screams first or who screams the most.

Swap some of your stuff

Are there plenty of stuff that you’re not using anymore and are just lying around the house? It could be anything like kids’ clothes, toys, adult clothes, and books. If you’re not using it anymore, then it would be best to swap it with your friends. Who knows, maybe they would find a better use for it than you.

Also, not only does it let you unload things that you are not using anymore, but you also get to obtain something new not only for the kids but for you as well.

With these exciting ideas to try out, I’m sure that you will be looking forward to your next mom’s night in. So, start planning with your friends and don’t forget to have fun.
